Symbols of violence take on a whimsical nature in the hands of Federico Uribe. ‘At Peace’ creates sculptures from ammunition, his work informed both by his homeland Colombia, where violence is part of daily life, and the epidemic of gun crime in the US where he has lived for 15 years. The exhibition opens at the Adelson Galleries in Boston on 16 October and runs to 20 December.
